Attendance Policy
To get the most out of the SHAPE Career Assessment® Certification Program, consistent attendance is key. We ask that participants attend all scheduled sessions, including training, mentor coaching, and observed coaching.
If you're unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, please reach out to your instructor and email [email protected] as soon as possible. You’ll be expected to review missed content and may need to complete a makeup activity—such as a written reflection, coaching practice, or one-on-one session—to stay on track.
If more than 2 hours of synchronous learning are missed, additional arrangements may be needed to complete the program. For mentor coaching, more than 3 hours missed will require individual sessions to meet certification standards.
We're happy to work with you to find a reasonable solution if you encounter challenges. Please reach out early so we can support you.
Certificate Issuance Policy
Participants who fulfill all program requirements—including full attendance, engagement in exercises, and a passing score on the final certification exam—will receive a digital certificate of completion.
Certificates will be issued via email within 7 business days of successful completion. The certificate will include participant name, date of completion, number of ICF-eligible hours (Core Competency and Resource Development), and program title.
General Disability Policy
Global CAI is dedicated to creating an inclusive learning experience for all. In accordance with U.S. local, state, and federal laws, we are happy to offer reasonable accommodations to support participants with disabilities.
If you need support, please contact [email protected] before enrolling so we can discuss how to best meet your needs.
Learning Disabilities Accommodations:
We work to ensure our content is accessible and adaptable. If you have a learning difference, let us know—we’ll do our best to support you with alternative formats or pacing where possible.
Grievance Policy
We care about your experience and aim to resolve any concerns thoughtfully and fairly.
If something isn’t going well—whether it’s about content, logistics, or interactions—we suggest the following steps:
- Try to resolve the issue directly with the individual involved.
- If it’s not resolved or you’d prefer not to address it directly, please send a written note to [email protected] within 14 days.
- If you’re still unsatisfied, you may submit a written appeal, and we’ll review and respond within 14 days.
We take all concerns seriously and approach them with care and confidentiality.
Illness Policy
If you're feeling unwell or facing a medical issue that affects your attendance, please contact your instructor and [email protected] as soon as possible.
We’ll ask that you review the missed material and complete any required make-up work to maintain your progress. If you miss more than 2 hours of instruction or 3 hours of mentor coaching, we’ll work with you on a plan that may include one-on-one coaching or rescheduling.
We understand that life happens—and we’ll do our best to support you through it.

To request this, email [email protected] within 14 days of your last attended session. Please include your name, dates attended, and a brief summary of what was completed.
Once reviewed, we’ll provide requirements for you to fulfill and upon completion provide the documentation reflecting your completed hours.
