She is the creator of the SHAPE Career Assessment®, developed from more than a decade of research on career advancement, leadership, and career self efficacy. A former corporate communications executive, she has led teams in healthcare, financial services, and industrial technology and teaches leadership development at Johns Hopkins University.

A bestselling author, Dr. Steele Flippin has published Generation Z in the Workplace and Millennials in the Workplace. She is the creator of the SHAPE Career Assessment® — a research grounded framework designed to strengthen career self efficacy and support meaningful, sustainable career growth. The SHAPE Career Assessment framework is based on her third book, Get Your Career in SHAPE, and her TEDx Talk, What Women Really Want… at Work. Her writing and speaking focus on career empowerment, leadership development, and navigating the realities of a multigenerational workforce.
As a former senior communications executive in healthcare, financial services, and industrial technology, and a Fellow at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, she bridges corporate practice and academic research to advance leadership effectiveness and workplace engagement.
Dr. Steele Flippin leads leadership development residencies at Johns Hopkins University and serves on the Advisory Board of CulTRUE. A sought after speaker and media commentator, she provides grounded, actionable insight trusted by leaders navigating today’s evolving workforce.
She earned her Doctor of Management from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and a BA from the University of Michigan. She holds Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and is certified in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i).
